Recovery Rocks!

I know that God and his dispatched angels helped me overcome the
unforeseen life changes that took me down in the latter part of 2007.
The back-to-back deaths of my daughter, my husband of 25 years and my
beloved mother-in-law really took a toll on me. After 17 years of
blessed recovery, I threw the towel in and purposely relapsed hard. I
really wanted life to end! I remember asking God, “Why do I keep waking
up? Please let me die in my sleep!” Talk about a major “woe is me” pity
party. After allowing God do what he does best, getting back up on the
proverbial horse (in recovery again since March 18, 2011) and taking
life one day at a time, I am seriously grateful to be where I am today.
I’m looking forward to what lies ahead and am so thankful for my
sponsor, support groups and “on the ground” team too. I’m a professional
writer, blogger, photographer and social media strategist. My work is a
place of solace for me and helps me to be an even better example and
anchor for others. Recovery rocks!
