Wait no longer, it’s
almost here and all are welcome to attend! The Nashville, TN based *New Covenant
Christian Church is excited to announce that their Annual Community Day will be
held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 11:00am - 4:00pm., at 2201
Osage St, Nashville, TN 37208 This year’s theme is: "GIVING IT ALL BACK,
AGAIN”
The Saint Thomas Hospital
Mobile Mammogram Unit, along with United Neighborhood Health Services have
partnered with New Covenant Christian Church to offer low cost mammograms and
health screenings. Prostate screenings
for men will also be available too. “Project
Return” will be present to offer services for re-entry into the community for
convicted felons, and the Criminal Court Clerk’s Office will be onsite to begin
the process of record expungement. Bridgestone and the Metro Police Department
will be accepting employment applications.
Participants of all
ages can enjoy games, arts and crafts, face painting, bounce houses, free food
and beverages, and community service vendors.
There will even be a Master Barber onsite, available to provide free
haircuts. It’s no secret that “Prayer
changes things” and New Covenant Christian Church always moves in the spirit of
prayer. Prayer rooms will be available
for families desiring prayer and spiritual guidance.
Free bus passes for
senior citizens will be distributed during Community Day. “Prizes, Prizes,
Prizes!” Door prizes consisting of gift
cards, movie tickets, Titans tickets, toys, gift baskets, grocery baskets, and
back to school supplies will be given away every 15 minutes (must be present to
win). And a Flat Screen Television will be given away this year.
Throughout the day
there will be music and entertainment provided by “New Covenant Christian
Church Praise Team”, “Men On A Mission”, “Jackie Crumm” with her one woman act
on breast cancer awareness, and the “Pearl-Cohn Marching Band”. More
entertainment includes; performances by a hip hop gospel artist, spoken word,
and many other local performers.
